Weddings At Applewood

Applewood invites couples to exchange vows in a charming 19th century atmosphere. The majority of the weddings take place in the dining room/morning room area which can accommodate up to 30 people. Smaller groups of up to 15 people may choose to have their services in the Victorian parlour.
In the warmer months you may choose to have your service outside in the front porch area.

FEE
The fee for the ceremony, the Marriage Officiator and the main floor of the House is $220.00 CASH. We require a deposit of $120.00 cash when booking to reserve your time.

TIME
Your wedding can be booked Mondays through Saturdays from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm (if confirmed by the previous Wednesday). All other times should be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Couples interested in weekend appointments should book early, as Saturdays and Sundays are very popular days.

You are encouraged to view rooms prior to arranging your wedding. You may do so by visiting between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. (Saturday and Sunday: by appointment only. Phone Friday for the appointment.)

SERVICE
Ministers of different denominations perform the wedding service and, although they are clergy, they can provide a non-religious ceremony. Marriage Ceremonies are performed in accordance with the Province of Ontario Marriage Act.

MARRIAGE LICENCE
A marriage license must be obtained from City Hall prior to the ceremony and must be brought with you on your wedding day.

ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

On your wedding day you must :

bring a valid marriage licence
have two witnesses
arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointed time
Pay the balance of the monies owing in cash

Please note that the throwing of flower petals, strings, rice and/or confetti and blowing of soap bubbles is not permitted on the premises, inside or out.
